Conceptual analysis : an attempt to map out our conceptual space , controversial. Method consists in giving reasons for the view one wihs to present and against opposing. An argument is a connected series of statements to establish a definite proposition . We will use a line to separate the intended conclusion from the premises. 2 ways for conclusion to follow from premises: deductively: if the premises are true, the conclusion must be inductively: if the premises are true, the conclusion is likely to be true. Even though the conclusion might still be false, the truth of the premises in an inductive argument makes the conclusion more probable.
