Proximity/contact with a source of a disease agent in such a manner that efective transmission or the agent or harmful efects of the agent may occur: they can be beneicial or harmful, there may be a dose response. A group whose members have been exposed to a supposed cause of disease or health state of interest or possess a characteristic that is a determinant of the health outcome of interest. Infectious agents, behaviours, intrinsic characteristics of individuals, social/environmental factors; sun exposure, pollution. All the possible results that stem from exposure to a casual factor. All identiied changes in health status arising as a consequence of the handing of a health problem. Researcher tries to change something and measure the efect on disease outcome clinical trials, preventive/ intervention trials. Researcher does not intervene in any way cross-sectional. Identifying risk factors associated with health/disease studies, cohort studies, and case-control studies. Measurement of disease occurrence or health outcome.
