The loss of a loved one can definitely be traumatizing, especially for someone as young as oskar, who struggles with his father"s passing from the terrorist attacks on the world. His obsession with the image leads him to believe that it is his father who fell from the. World trade center, who died a tragic and uneventful death. As an individual who witnessed my grandfather"s passing, i understand and am able to relate to how oskar felt and thought after he was given the terrible news of his late father.
