Canadian and usa diferences: usa is more violent higher homicide rates. Police deaths 300% diference in homicide rate. Police and public the frequency of deadly force: o. Roughly 12 get killed in canada, whereas the usa is hella high. They are dealing with vulnerable people o o o o. Provide safety and reassurance to a fearful , despondent mental health consumer. Allow an emoionally charged person the opportunity to calm down. Provide a drug/alcohol inluenced person with the opportunity to regain perspecive.
