Course instructor: nicholas athey, oice: room 2768. Tutorials will follow course reader, sociological explanaions of crime and deviance. Lectures will expand upon weekly readings and tutorials, as well as introduce (new) supplemental informaion. Speciically on sociological explanaions of crime and deviance. Each tutorial consists of a 15-25 minute presentaion, an interacive assessment exercise, a series of lash cards, and a inal performance quiz. Two points available per tutorial one point for atendance and paricipaion, one point for performance on quiz: worth 20% of total grade for the course. Tutorial performance: one point available for tutorial performance. Each quesion worth . 2% or a ith of a point: quiz has strict 10 minute ime limit, quiz must be writen during one week ime period. Can atend any ime, from anywhere: don"t have to speak in class. Eliminate problems with course conlicts, work schedule conlicts.
