Implication: lord of sip n was a moche king. Even if the king was visiting / inspecting this city, his body would likely have been returned to the capital. Strongly suggested that the moche polity was not a single entity as suspected. Best evidence for a centralized moche state still from cerro blanco (aka moche site). Large urban centre (1 km2 ) between huaca del sol & huaca de la luna. Stack of plazas, patios, temples, & remarkable artwork. Remains of 75 sacrificial victims, executed over course of 5 episodes. Dental traits suggest multiple origins outside the moche valley. Sacrificial victims" skeletons showed multiple signs of trauma. Cutmarks on cervical vertebrae, suggesting the slashing of throats.
