Bhs201 class one (friday january 15 th , 2016) Un-conditioned reinforcers: food (because we need it to survive). Conditioned reinforcers: video games, netflix, money, travel, and sports. Involves the presentation of a stimulus or aversive stimulus. The effect on the behavior that is important. Does it increase or decrease the behavior. Negative is the removal of a stimulus. Both pos. and neg. will increase a behavior (the outcome) Reprimands, physical punisher, time outs, response cost. It is very clear if a stimulus is served as a reinforcer or punishment. Non- i"m providing the consequence regardless if the behavior happens or not): fading (thinning the schedules or reinforcement for specific individuals) Examples what"s going on: the room is cold so you put on a sweater. Positive reinforcement= you put on a sweater next time it is chilly. Positive punishment= you never put on a sweater again when its chilly. Negative reinforcement= you put on a sweater next time its chilly.
