What is the difference b/w primary aging, secondary, teritary aging. Models of development: nature and nurture in adulthood. Whats going on across life span: development of a topic, how its changing/staying the same throughout life span. Aspects of development: physical, changes in, eyes, ears, skeletal system, muscular system, diseases, cognitive, memory, schemas. Intelligence: psychosocial, relationships, roles, personality, emotional development. Key concepts in the study of the life span. Multidirectionality: how development can go up/down/stay the same, 2. Multidimensionality: broadness of development, saying there are multiple dimensions within you that are developing at the same time (eg. something can decline while another thing is inclining, 3. Plasticity: ability to change, greatest in childhood in most things, decreases over lifespan but never goes to 0, 4. History and context: geographical context = same but historical context is not, our gen = tech savvy, we expect it, grandparents = had to adapt to it, grew up during wwi/wwii, 5.
