Average effects of psychotherapy are significant & large (chorpita et al. , 2011; Effects of psychotherapy are constant across most diagnostic conditions. Variations in effectiveness influenced more by patient characteristics (e. g. , chronicity, complexity, social support), and by clinician, than by particular diagnoses or specific treatment brands (beutler, 2009). Clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, and social workers are the most common practitioners.
