Easily shit our atenion to things of importance or interest. While atenion and consciousness are clearly closely related, they are not idenical, Conscious level: the informaion about yourself and your environment of which you are currently aware. Nonconscious level: body processes controlled by your mind that we are not usually aware of (blinking, breathing) Preconscious level: informaion about yourself or your environment that you are not currently thinking about, but you could be. Subconscious level: informaion that we are not consciously aware of but we know must exist due to behaviour.
