People influence one another * reciprocal determinism we influence each others behaviour which makes it difficult to know what is causing what: 5. behaviour is shaped by culture. Emic- when you want to understand that culture in the cultural setting itself- studying the culture in that culture. Etic- study of the behavior of an culture by looking at the setting of an outsider- opposite- studying the culture by looking at another culture. Key points just learned: cheaper way to do a research. Set of kills for evaluating all claims in an open minded and careful fashion.
