Describe how to identify and process an ethical dilemma, using an ethical decision-making model. Discuss the concept of developing ethical reasoning as part of professional development. Discuss two real life ethical issues/cases as reported in the media. It is key to work thru ethical decisions to help manage experiences better and thus deliver better care: greater exposure leads to better ways to problem solve when ethical problems arise. Ethical reasoning discovering what is real , the seeking of truth to ensure ethical nursing practice. Moral reckoning reflection upon one"s (and others") motivations, choices, actions, decisions and consequences in an ethical situation or dilemma. Ethical sensitivity recognition of the concerns of others, especially patients, and a subsequent interpretation and response to those concerns.
