Hebrews believed in spiritual basis of iliness that followed 10 commandments promoted health. Recognized importance of nutrition and developed dietary laws that protected the public by prescribing what food could/could not be eaten together/eaten at all. Nurses cared for sick, community, midwives during childbirth. Love for others nursing became caring service.
