Organized sound someone to do the organizing, elements of the sound you are organizing, and someone to listen to the sound and organize them internally. The reception side can sort of decide if it is music to us or not, example birds chirping/singing. Reception side is where we make our social and personal judgements if it is music or not. Our upbringing, our culture at large can determine it. It is also determined by the economy, who determines who makes music and buy music. People who do not have time to buy or listen to music directs how we perceive it. Episteme what is known and accepted at a given time. Big thing that makes music change is technology especially when compared to the past such as recording music now on a mac compared to before when the beatles made music.
