Unity idee ixe is throughout the enire piece and holds it together: the woman he is in love with is the idee ixe. Story added ater the piece was composed so the audience would accept his new innovaions: give them a story and they"ll swallow anything, ***puing the harp in the orchestra was one of his innovaions.
