Document Summary
A server dedicated to monitor, manage and implement. Using a domain server, a net admin is able to create logical objects such as users, groups, computer using domain interface. Authentication servers are: windows server (2008, 2012), linus, unix and novell. Windows, linus/unix use a tcp/ip based authentication called kevbrose. To locate an object (a user, a group) in a domain, a protocol called ldap (lightweight, directory, access, and protocol) is used. A domain server is a multi-master infrastructure allowing to have multiple replicas of the server. A domain supports parent/child relationships in which upper level domain trust their child domains.
