The art and procedure of arranging type or processing data and printing from it. The art of producing decorative handwriting or lettering with a pen or brush. Calligraphy is not the same as typography. A typeface is a single set of characters in a specific design. A font is a single set of characters in a specific design and a specific size. A type family is the complete variations of a typeface in every size, slant, weight, and width. Size (now created electronically: some faces are designed specifically for reproduction at large sizes (titling) Weight: light, medium, bold, heavy, extra bold, extra light.
