More than one filler head may be used. Measures the product by weight, level/volume, or count and fills the container: Not appropriate for solids with varying particle sizes and distribution (ex. rock sugar) Not appropriate for solids where precise doses are required (ex. pills, eggs) Risk of surplus product mitigated by dribble feed. Slows down the process but improved accuracy. Places the product over a tray or mould until holes are filled, and then released. The tray/mould can be the container itself (ex. blister packs) Tumbling or vibrating the product into single file. Uv, infrared) sensor counts and releases or diverts the count into the container. Identifies different shapes and sizes, separate, and count to create sets (ex. nuts and bolts) Uses the container"s volume to measure the amount of liquid filled. A measured volume of liquid is placed into the container. More accurate than level filling but may result in variations of fill level.
