Geography of food: who eats what and where. Food & geography are almost synonymous with the landscape, the various geographical places around the world. Once you decide on a name it is a name that is cemented and made with a great deal of consideration. Baked alaska, belgian waffles, french vanilla, georgia peaches: memorize on d2l, a lot of foods take their names from places, or where they originated from. The oldest demonstrable human habit of which we have evidence is (cid:494)picking your teeth(cid:495) Primary food production: involves exploiting the natural resources of the earth: hunting, fishing, agriculture, agriculture is the most important economic activity that we engage in, approx. 250 million farmers: they are largely engaged in producing 1000 crops, occupies 1/3 which is devoted to agriculture, about 45% is engaged in agriculture. Once you settle down (farming), then boundaries and bound ownership become important. Laws and principles would have had to be implemented, in the agricultural evolution.
