The toronto comic arts festival is a unique comics event, patterned after comic festivals. It is a week of comics -related events, including readings, presentations, panel discussions, gallery shows, and a large exhibition area. Provides space for exhibitors to sell to the public. Programs: conference rooms, theatre seating, often panel discussions, interviews etc. Challenge # 1 too many bodies on first floor: need to get people to the 3rd floor of the library. Challenge # 2: awesome kids programing, adult programing, middle zone (teens think their adults, need help to program ya (youth) events for teens. Usually author talks: there is a huge market that is successful for ya, teens are buying material that is for them, how do we get them to engage in activities. Social media: twitter (toronto comics, facebook, tumblr- highlight new and debut works at tcaf. Top organization you want to do and why.
