Mccain foods is a very successful company in north america but is always looking to expand its business internationally. There are many potential risks in the global business environment that mccain must prepare for when expanding internationally. These risks include global economy, globalization, international management and global manager. The global economy is a potential risk because mccain is now not facing local competitors but worldwide competitors for resource supplies and product markets. Although mccain is dominating the canadian market these competitors will affect. Globalization is mccain"s next potential risk as they are now dependent on many components globally. Mccain will have to grow these interdependent components and adapt to the change of not relying on one source for all of their products. Managing these organizations internationally is a challenge mccain will face, as they must now manage human recourses and accounts of all of the different organizations. The last risk mccain must be aware of is their new global manager.
