Offender victim link: violent prone situations, retaliation, even though the individual is the victim, they might retaliate, deviant transactions, selling drugs, stolen property, stealing etc, also more likely to retaliate as well. Observation: watch people until you figure out what is going on, participant as observer. Informant research: gathering information with people, have to reward people. Experiments: administration of experimental manipulation, see if there are any changes.
