Elements that make for a good intelligence test also make a good personality test standardizaion, reliability, validity. Many ways to measure personality, (even on the internet) but never can be sure how accurate. Objecive tests: example the minnesota muliphasic inventory (mmpi-2). It asks people to answer true/false quesions about themselves. Example the neo personality inventory (neuroicism, extroversion, openness to experience). Also an objecive test that measures personality series of statements that person can disagree or agree with (ive-point scale). Most recent version neo-pi-3 measures ive factors based on the ive-factor model. Projecive tests: example the rorschach test best known projecive test. Series of inkblots presents, person describes what they see. Called projecive test because person will project their personality on the inkblot. Most psychologists don"t like personality tests too subjecive/ poorly validated.
