What is psychology: psychology is the scienti c study of behaviour, thought and experience, not the study of the brain but we do study the behaviours of the brain. Topics of psychology: bullying, motor control, violence, attitudes, memory, trust, emotions, consciousness, job satisfaction. Disciplines of psychology: medicine, education, business, humanities, law, engineering. What it incorporates: natural science, social science. What are all these different disciplines: economics is an assumption, law is a standard, philosophy is a question, psychology is an empirical question about individuals, sociology is an empirical question about groups. Things you can do with this course: survey knowledge you can study in psychology, gain scienti c literacy and critical thinking skills, discover yourself and what makes you human, better understand and predict human behaviour.
