Neoconservative - the new right of conservatism, putting them in a new context. Monetarist economist - made him take a libertarianism view. Problem with inflation, high unemployment and high inflation. The state was too involved in the economy, he thought the state should stop getting involved because they were causing all economic problems. States getting involved in the economy is interfering with individual freedom. Well known right wing economist, from new york, jewish. There was a worry that the state had gotten too big and that they didn"t really know what they were doing. Distributive justice- referring to the inquires about how economic values, property etc. are distributed. He said it was misleading because it suggested that an authority should come and fairly distribute property to everyone which isn"t the way it works. Property is owned by individuals and resources are acquired by transactions and gifts.
