Whco the social determinants of health are the conditions in which people are born, grow, work, life + age + wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life. Sdoh most responsible for health inequalities: unfair and avoidable difference in health status seenin and between countires. Sdoh: upstream factors determining our health and how long we survive. Upstream determinants of health is the underlying causes of poor health, not just the symptoms. Some sdoh include: income, social support, childhood development, education, racism, health care, housing, transportation, gender, food security. 3 main types of determinants of health: genetic & biological. Personal health practices are not social determinants of health, they are socially pattern. Those wealthier who have better education + income, and higher physical activity. People living on lower income, see"s health as a resource ot be used now. Those on higher income see health as someone to work towards and bank towards the future.
