He holds a coin and wears thick rings that suggests his past as a merchant. The architecture behind them was not architecture that existed at this time. Does(cid:374)"t look like the t(cid:455)pi(cid:272)al ar(cid:272)hite(cid:272)ture i(cid:374) s(cid:449)itzerla(cid:374)d (cid:894)gothi(cid:272)(cid:895) but more like classical italian architecture. Richly ornamented and gilded, only possible in a painting. Very realistic, however the architecture and the sky make the painting seem flat and fake.
