In 1934/35 approximately 11 millions of people responded to a survey in britain stating their opinion about future wars. League was still strong in the 1920"s as countries didn"t want to see another war similar to wwi. Lenin pulled russia out of wwi early and gave up territory to do so: civil war broke out shortly after until 1920, soviet union became institutionally paranoid about the west. Lenin dies in 1924, leads to stalin coming into power. Labour camps were created to spur this industrialization of agriculture. Fascist italy: felt shortchanged after their wwi contributions, didn"t feel that their wwi contributions were appreciated by other allied powers. Lots of government turnover, 5 governments in span of 3 years (1919-1922) Italian economy crashed shortly after, unemployment and strikes ensued. Mussolini: known as the father of fascism, 4 basic principles of fascism.
