It attempts to present a real life situation (reality) An attempt to construct life as it is, but isn"t reality. Which means how do we view, perceive and understand, analysis and evaluate, process the representation in theatre and film and also in our everyday lives. Functional the minimal forms that are necessary for it to function. Realism was a part of this modernism moment (history). In which we wanted to imagine for something that for something to have value, it had to be new. Of which is very different from other cultures. And then there are other cultures which it is the tradition that holds value. A lot of films are based on realism. Theatre and film aren"t just for entertaining needs, they are used for stories- which make meaning.
