Thinking that taking privileges away will result in better behaviour (punitive; response cost) De ned: noncontingent reinforcement (ncr), the delivery of reinforcers according to a schedule that is not response contingent. Ncr can be delivered in a xed or variable time format. Delivery of reinforcement not based on any set contingency. No predictable pattern (nagging = breakdown = get what they want) Learn to understand if this happens Sometimes reinforced, somethings not for same behaviour (random)
