Authority: the capacity of one member to issue orders to others by invoking rights that are vested in their role. People"s roles/positions within an organization give them certain rights/obligations. These give one person authority over another with respect to certain acts and performances. None asked for it to be discontinued. Demonstrates power of the situation over personality and other individual factors. Participants adapted to roles well beyond expectations. Demonstrated power of situation and social roles.
