Biophysical = physical features, visible markers have sociological meaning attached. Gender = socially constructed/learning process but connected to sex. Can cross into different groups (ex. females feeling masculine) Trans-sexual: sex transformation via the use of hormones and/or surgical procedure. Dr mccloskey (from donald (male) deirdre (female)) Trans-gender: blending or alternating the binary concepts of masculinity and femininity. A person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that does not seem to t the typical de nitions of female or male. Appearing to be female on the outside, but having mostly male-typical anatomy on the inside (mixed sexual organs) Race: concerned with super cial physical characteristics, such as skin, eye and hair colour. Ethnicity: describes shared culture the practices, values, beliefs of a group, language, religion, and traditions, among other commonalities. Doesn"t always describe the colour" of the person.
