Freud told jung to not look into paranormal psychological aspects as he believed it was not scienti c possible. We all share the same collective unconscious. There are two things in this: psychic energy, libido: He saw libido as a general form of psychic energy. Archetypes: as human instincts, cognitive instincts; the way of understanding the world and the experiences we have. There is no content to an archetype, they are the shapes we impress on our experience, they are the things were use to interpret our experience: hero archetype: projects heroic gures and stories, birth, dead, re-birth. Helps us function in the world, it learns and understands the nature of the world same as. Completely in the conscious part of the mind, present at birth. It is also in the unconscious part of the mind.
