5 stages of grief: a universal course for dealing with death. People do not always go through the stages in the right order or go through them at all. There is a standardized pathway for how people deal with grief. People who are grouped together allow us to predict behaviours: there is no scienti c evidence to support either of these two views, however they go unquestioned. It has been demonstrated that high motivating factors lead to better grades but your learning style does not: doesn"t stop the fact that they guide how we approach problems. Deviance: how actions differ from what is expected. Falling in the low or high extreme is considered abnormal. How does deviance map onto the other three ds. Dysfunction: prevents normal interaction with the rest of society. Synaesthesia: there is something abnormal about it yet we do not consider it a mental disorder (in the dsm)
