Different approaches to feminism are often (controversially) classified into "waves" representing different ideas about the sexes, gender, and society. Situated with ww2 due to men being gone from home and women needing to place themselves in their jobs. An attempt to get equality for women (in the basic sense) They were not able to participate in society -- so they fought to be able to be seen as just as men. That women had to same potential as men. Plato; that because women can do math that they were as equal as man (wtf) That they have equal rights, access to the economy, etc. Although they had the basic rights they were shafted to more feminine attributes of things in society. As though they are equal under the law, in practice its completely different. And even high-powered women in society they experience this (glass-ceiling)
