Lecture four: actors, police and crown, and attorneys (cont"d) Quali cations are relatively minimum however not every force is the same, for example higher end police related jobs require more quali cations. Other quali cations include such as cpr training, background checks, uency in french or english. Increasingly cops across north america, a pre-clearance process have to demonstrate you have a certi cate from the association from the chiefs of police. To get this you have to undergo testing from a private agency and they determine if you are quali ed to apply to be a police of cer in canada (company is called applicant testing services) Private in uence the private sector is involved in qualifying you and their quali cations come from previously being former chiefs of police of cers.
