Therapeutic classification- method of organizing drugs based on their therapeutic usefulness in treating a particular disease. Pharmacological classification- refers to the way the drug works at the molecular, tissue and body system level. Addresses a drugs mechanism of action, or how a drug produces its effect in the body. More specific than a therapeutic classification and requires an understanding of biochemistry and physiollgy.
