For the first time there"s a gap that is visible between parents and their remaining in adolescence longer than their parents kids(generation gap) o. The term comes out of black culture goes back at least to the 17-1800s its a slang term for having a party, having a good time, and having sex. The name(rock n roll) came after the music was released.
