Liberalism = believing in the free market + giving people to create things and (cid:494)liberal(cid:495) = liberty (want to protect people in liberty and give freedom to act) rewarding them: society in order to be wealthier. Giving people new ideas and competing against each other in a free way. In a free market, businesses are allowed to set themselves up. They can provide their own goods and a chance to excel for themselves. The freer the market the better: trying to not involve the government, keep the peace + let the market do their own work. Smith believed that people should feel a moral responsibility to take care of others (mainly rich people, rich should really give back)
