But how can you measure stress and impairment? (subjective) Controversies of generalized anxiety disorder- it has much lower diagnostic reliability meaning, there is more room for error when diagnosing generalized anxiety disorder compared to depression for example. If someone was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder but, they went to a different ps(cid:455)(cid:272)hiatrist, that ps(cid:455)(cid:272)hiatrist (cid:272)ould thi(cid:374)k that the(cid:455) do(cid:374)"t ha(cid:448)e ge(cid:374)eralized a(cid:374)(cid:454)iet(cid:455) disorder. Diagnosed in women far more often (roles, culture, stereotypes can end up in the doctors office. ) Some people thi(cid:374)k that it"s a s(cid:455)(cid:373)pto(cid:373) of other disorders.
