If hoarders had larger homes, would this be an. Body dysmorphic disorder (a person fixates over an aspect of their body, i. e. nose/ears/stomach/etc. ) Illness anxiety disorder (iad: heightened bodily sensations. 10/5/16: anxiety over potential undiagnosed illness, obsessive research on subject. Assumptions that it was caused by some prior tragedy or trauma. Depends only on psychiatrist"s judgment that worry and thoughts are excessive . What does it mean for fibromyalgia, ibs, and other contested illnesses: should diseases where the cause is unexplained be classified as mental disorders, many examples in history of medicine of previously unexplained maladies and discovery of root causes. Will it result in increase in mental illness: body-conscious society. Won"t this primarily affect women as catastrophizers? (women would make up the ma- jority of people diagnosed with ssd and iad)
