Takes the dominant form of being and calls it normal, and the deviations are an illness Committee met to come to consensus on disorders. Some controversies arose surrounding: autism spectrum, expanded adhd, binge eating disorder. Removed bereavement clause removed- person cannot be diagnosed with depression if a loved one has died recently. Clinically significant disturbance in cognition, emotional regulation, or behaviour that reflects a dysfunction in the psychological, biological, or developmental processes underlying mental function. Usually associated with significant distress or disability in a person"s day to day life, social function, and work/school function.
