Individuals having own agenda we think and interests to be met. Who gets what, when & how important shows how it"s applied to health- broader than. About power-how to get someone to do what you want them to do - for your own agenda. Cannot separate politics from power or health from power. Might involve government, any power-structed relationship is political. (marriage can be political-power structures, friendships, family structure) hopefully see how a relationship becomes political. Health & illness not just about biological states- sites of political struggle (dominant way of thinking is strict material ways- biomedical, healthy & sick bodies- decontextualized the body- vacuum, Inequalities:some people have more of it than others- more access etc. -beyond individual choice- determinants. Health differences not just a consequence of genetics, bio chance, individual behaviour. Stems from broader inequalities (income, class, racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, Women couldn"t acces bc pills, - broader narratives around gender. Access to healthcare also prone to inequalities.
