Environmentalists and first nations now want to deforest only some trees to mimic what storms would do. Collaboration and coordination: no arbitrators, mediators, judicial system. The boundary waters treaty, 1909: for resolution of disputes over shared waters through the ijc to find the best solution for everyone. 1928: smelting problems in bc, where sulfur dioxide emissions caused pollution in usa. 1944: flooding of the columbia caused canada to dam it. 1975: invasive species coming to canada by division.
