Document Summary

V lookup stands for vertical look up and pluck things horizontally. Numerically reference is used when a defined range is selected. A lookup column must be in asceding order if it is true. False is usually a non numerical value such as text but not always, just most of the time. If a cell is empty it is considered 0. For false, the lookup column does not have to be in ascending order. Absolute stays in the same column, it doesn t change. If you want to reference something in certain column and always the same then you use absolute reference. Vlookup would use absolute, well most of the time.
