The real nature of colour is based on light. Based in colour frequency, you see the spectrum of light. Sometimes dissonance can have a positive effect or negative effect: use the colour wheel and guidelines to see what clash of colours can have a positive effect. Darker colour have a lower saturated value. Once master monochrome move onto 2 hues and see what dominate one another. Contrast in chroma helps create a strong sense of mood. Schemes which refers to the colour wheel.
