Society: body of institutions & relationships with where people live, conditions in which such relationships are formed. Culture: the process of intellectual, spiritual & aesthetic development, works & practices that arise from development, particular way of life. Media: allows us to share in & understand society & culture, may have a further agenda. Threat: foreign media will overtake local media, leading to loss of culture. & are seen as key media/ inf players: media does not affect everyone the same way at the same time but their are key players they influence. Written communication maintains culture over peace (space bias) Graduate of mcmaster (own library after him) Knowledge & history are held by people or groups. Leads to a close-knit community that must stay together thou time to survive. Collaboration with people form everywhere (erase time & space) One of the first analysts if electronic communication.
