The metropolitan (met) works at what kind of representations did they create about the body of this poor littleboy and this case. How did the media depict this particular case to the pop culture. There were a lot of problematic, racist sort of depictions of african peoples were constructed within the media portrayal of this particular case. One term that sanders used to discuss these kind of representations in his article is the term (cid:862)ho(cid:373)oge(cid:374)izatio(cid:374)(cid:863). Ho(cid:373)oge(cid:374)izatio(cid:374) he argues is a(cid:374) esse(cid:374)tialist way of presenting particular people. Essentialism, distill a group of people and qualities in to a number of single phrases or words or ideas.
