Looking at issues of race & racism, we looked at embedded racism at el barrio ! Third issue is violence and con ict ! Many of worlds con icts are predicated upon religious, ethnic or racial issues! What we"ll see cross culturally, we see that violence is apt to occur in diff societies when a sense of order is perceived to be under threat! Something that most of the worlds cultures/societies strive towards! Con ict-free state where everyone is getting along! This con ict-free status quo is ideal for most societies around the world! Ideal that is usually not quite achieved! Diff groups of people have diff ways of maintaining sense of order (order represents social harmony and social equilibrium)! Looking at small-scale societies such as bands & tribes, as well as states (complex societies in order to deal with large set of people) ! More mechanisms are going to be in place to construct order!
