Magic: supernatural techniques intended to accomplish specific aims: eg: sterotypes of witches brewing toxic spells w/ animal parts, chanting/prayer/dancing/rituals. Magic may be used to solve personal problems: eg: magic: when one is sick, performing magic becomes a solution, eg: relgion: praying for world peace. Witchcraft: people are born as way, it is inherited and not controlled. It is involuntary, uncounciousley using magic to cause harm to others. Sorcery: a skill you can acquire, more of a technique: uses magic for the purpose of harming others. Imitative magic: same as sympathetic magic: by mimicking something, you can cause harm to it, eg: voodoo doll. Contagious magic: based on the idea that objects and body parts of a person have some mana: eg: could be an article of clothing or body part then use it in a spell.
